Why we made this course

Getting Section 8 help takes patience. You apply through your local housing agency, wait on a list that can take years, and then have a limited time to find a home once your voucher is issued. Most people lose time because the rules are spread across many agency pages, or because a missed letter costs them their place on a list.

This course puts the whole process in one place, in plain English, using HUD's own rules. It also shows you how to spot the fake waitlist ads that try to charge people money or steal their information. Real housing agencies never charge to apply, and neither do we.
